Cal 44 WCF. S# 550477B. Mfg. 1900. Bbl. 20" Round with carbine post front sight & flip up ladder rear sight. 3rd Model receiver with integral dust cover rail. Staple mounted carbine ring on left rear of receiver. Band fastened walnut forend & straight grip stock with trapdoor carbine buttplate. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to gray with and even brown patina and scattered areas of freckling and light oxidation. Traces of original blue appear in protected areas. Stock set has been lightly sanded & refinished. Front sight blade has dent and leans slightly left. Buttstock exhibits numerous moderate to heavy gouges. Good bore is generally bright with crisp rifling having scattered areas of light pitting. Mechanically fine. (26-4399/BH). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
